Aurelian D. Mohan, the UN Youth Delegate of Romania, is the coauthor of the Dialectica’s “Guide for the European Parliament Elections of Romania”. The enterprise’s main goal was to promote democratic values, to advocate for strong democratic institutions (SDG No. 16), and to educate Romanians on the benefits of voting.

In order to present the guide to the public, Dialectica organized a conference that brought together several experts in political science and journalism. The guest panelists were Ramona Ursu, a journalist at Newsweek Romania, Antonio Momoc, a journalist for TVR International and professor of journalism at the University of Bucharest, Mihai Rădulescu, news anchor and journalist at TVR, Mihai N. Tudorică, cofounder of Rezistența TV, and Iulian Fota, former presidential adviser and national security expert.
The aforementioned experts were separated in two panels and they discussed about the significance of the European Union, the role of the supranational organization in the recent development of Romania, the relevance of the May 2019 elections for the European Parliament, and the effect of these elections on Romanian youth.
The event was broadcasted live on social media by various online TV outlets.
The United Nations Youth Delegate of Romania not only that he explained the purpose of the aforesaid guide, but he also advocated for youth empowerment, for the involvement of young persons in the decision-making processes, and for a better future for Romanians that are a part of that demographic.
In addition, Aurelian was adamant about the necessity to implement the Sustainable Development Goals in Romania and to create strong democratic if we envision a robust future for the country.
The event was organized with the unwavering support of the European Parliament Liaison Office in Bucharest. They offered the venue at which the event took place.
