Participarea Delegaților la Adunarea Generală (2018) / The UNYD participation at the UN General Assembly (2018)

Delegații de Tineret ai României din actualul mandat (2018-2019), Aurelian D. Mohan și Andrada C. Baba, au avut onoarea de a participa la Sesiunea a 73-a a Adunării Generale a Organizației Națiunilor Unite. Ei au ținut un discurs în cadrul Comitetului al III-lea menit a aduce în prim-plan activitatea lor de Delegați la ONU și problemele cu care se confruntă tinerii români.

Aurelian D. Mohan și Andrada C. Baba au participat, în perioada 1-13 octombrie 2018, la activitățiile Comitetului al III-lea al Adunării Generale a ONU. Aceștia au avut o alocuțiune extrem de importantă, au participat la nunmeroase side eventuri ONU, au interacționat cu colegii lor și au organizat, la rândul lor, un side event în cadrul Misiunii Permanente a Germaniei la ONU.

Delegații de Tineret ai României la ONU au discutat, cu ocazia discursului anterior menționat, despre problemele cu care se confruntă tinerii din România, despre măsurile de politică publică menite a facilita progresul grupului demografic în cauză și despre misiunea Delegaților de a Agenda 2030 a ONU. Pe această cale, ei nu numai că au descris status quo-ul tinerilor români, dar au și atras atenția cu privire la evoluția lentă înregistrată în domeniu.

The United Nations Youth Delegates of Romania (from the 2018-2019 mandate), Aurelian D. Mohan și Andrada C. Baba, had the honor of participating in the 73rd Session of the UN General Assembly. Moreover, they delivered a speech at the 3rd Committee pertaining to the United Nations General Assembly in order to disseminate information regarding the status quo of Romanian youth.

They described the main issues young people from Romania have to face every day, mentioned several public policy measures capable of facilitating the progress of the aforementioned demographic group, and outlined their mission as the UN Youth Delegates of Romania. The latter revolves around the Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development goals; id est, the Delegates must disseminate the UN Strategy on Youth, details about the SDGs, and information pertaining to other UN endeavors form the field of sustainable development.

Aurelian D. Mohan and Andrada C. Baba had the opportunity to participate in the 3rd Committee of the UN General Assembly (October 1-13). They delivered the aforementioned speech, took part in myriad side events, interacted with their diplomatic colleagues, and organized a side event at the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations.
