Participarea delegaților la European Youth Delegates Summit “UNESCO and Youth” / Participation of the UNYDs in the European Youth Delegates Summit “UNESCO and Youth” (Novi Sad, Serbia)

The United Nations Youth Delegates of Romania, Andrada C. Baba and Aurelian D. Mohan, participated in the European Youth Delegates Summit “UNESCO and Youth”, in Novi Sad, Serbia, from November 30 to December 2.

The summit was organized by the UN Youth Delegates of Serbia together with the UNA of Serbia and the Committee in charge of the Novi Sad – Youth Capital of Europe in 2019. The European Youth Delegates Summit “UNESCO and Youth” facilitated large meetings and discussions among a dozen UN Youth Delegates from Europe and various youth representatives.
The main aim of the summit was to bring to the forefront the necessity to empower youth and to further develop partnerships between Youth Delegates and UN agencies. In this context, the participants created a position paper in order to propose changes specific targeted to UNESCO. The paper can be access from the following link:
This endeavor prompted all UN Youth Delegates to express their willingness to collaborate with all UN agencies from their respective countries with the purpose of extending any enterprise that can foster progress.
During this summit, the United Nations Youth Delegates of Romania proposed multiple

Although the summit entailed long meetings, debates, conferences, and workshops, each country had the opportunity to present their traditions and UNESCO World Heritage sites. Moreover, the participated had enough time to visit the beautiful city of Novi Sad.
